I went to a drag show today and it was utterly fantastic.
I just recently came out as a bisexual, so the fact that pride week fell on the week of my birthday was just perfect. A perfect touch to the perfect beginning.
I had so much fun! I screamed so much, I had a massive headache afterward— and I didn’t care! Because I had the time of my life at that show.
Seeing all the queens walk onto the stage beautifully in their heels made me realize that if these women can walk in heels as tall as they already are, and still be beautiful, I shouldn’t have any reason not to either. I’ve been uncomfortable with the idea of wearing heels out of proper occasion because I’m already pretty tall for an Asian girl, but I love heels and I want to incorporate them into my wardrobe so badly. So today I decided: I’m going to wear whatever the hell I want, regardless of what people think. If I like it, then that’s all that matters.
